FDIC Shenanigans Allegedly Exposed: Hiding Documents in Operation Chokepoint 2.0 Coverup
A social media account has alerted about the procedures that the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC), the main U.S. bank regulator, has applied to avoid releasing documents linked to the crypto industry suppression campaign, commonly called Operation Chokepoint 2.0.

The whistleblowers allege that the FDIC has instructed individuals to label documents as attorney-client privilege to avoid having these documents released. Other tactics, like not running complete searches in their regional systems and not presenting documents produced in collaboration platforms like Microsoft Teams were applied.
The information comes as Coinbase, the leading U.S. cryptocurrency exchange, had requested the release of several documents through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, that have already shed light about the actions of the FDIC in suppressing institutions from adopting crypto.

FDIC Exposed, the social media account making these allegations, states that at least 150 documents were not submitted as part of the FOIA release, and called for the removal of several individuals occupying key positions in the agency.
These whistleblowers also alerted about an ongoing disinformation campaign against agency detractors on social media. The campaign focused on investigating adversaries like Coinbase CLO Paul Grewal, WSPN CEO Austin Campbell, Custodia Bank founder Caitlin Long, Castle Island Ventures founder Nic Carter, and Unchained podcast regulatory reported Veronica Irwin.
FDIC Exposed stated that they had received “credible information” about this from people part of this operation, claiming that they were personally assigned to investigate if these individuals posed any threats to the FDIC.
“The idea FDIC funds are being used to investigate those individuals who hold it accountable is horrible, although not unsurprising,” they stressed. Finally, they called to freeze all records about any investigation against these individuals.
