I have always had a question.
People say that financial markets are zero-sum games.
I say, if you factor in the trading fees from the casino (exchange),
this is definitely a negative-sum game.
But in this game where 1.6 million people and 20 billion dollars were liquidated,
who ultimately made a big profit?
The whales who shorted in advance on HYPE? How much could that be?
The large players who shorted heavily on CEX like BN/OKX?
Are they all quietly making big money?
It seems like we only see the big players who bought the dip after the crash making huge profits.
But it shouldn't be to the tune of hundreds of billions, right?
Where are the few whales with massive positions who shorted in advance or bought the dip?
Who really made significant profits in this historically largest liquidation crash?
I am left completely confused…
Where did this money go?
Or did it just disappear into thin air? = =.
