Hackathon Overview

Kaia Wave Stablecoin Summer Hackathon is an important initiative by Kaia to promote DeFi mini-dApp innovation on a large scale for the first time, utilizing Kaia's native USDT. The event attracted widespread attention and participation, with 94 projects approved and 575 developers registered to compete. Many early teams focused on "practical functional DeFi products" (rather than just remaining in the prototype stage) received comprehensive launch support, including onboarding guidance, investment opportunities, and technical resources.

Throughout the Hackathon, several mini-dApps showcased innovative applications of stablecoins within the Kaia ecosystem, with many projects deeply integrated with the LINE Messenger ecosystem. Some representative projects explored USDT yield mechanisms, DID-based stablecoin solutions, and AI-driven features for trading and asset allocation.

In the end, the winning teams shared a total prize pool of $165,000 and received additional infrastructure resource support. Furthermore, over $1 million in investment commitments will be used to promote project implementation and launch. The finalist teams also completed demo presentations on-site at Token2049 in Singapore, highlighting the event's emphasis on "immediate product release" and "ecosystem impact."

This Hackathon demonstrated a high level of developer engagement and the vitality of DeFi technological innovation, injecting new momentum into the stablecoin DeFi ecosystem on the Kaia platform.

Hackathon Award Winners

Kaia Stablecoin Award Recipients

Five projects were awarded for their technical solutions addressing the practicality of stablecoins and challenges in decentralized finance during the Kaia Stablecoin Summer Hackathon. Evaluation criteria included technological innovation, problem-solving methods, and implementation quality.

First Prize

Lucky Savings – This project implemented a no-loss lottery DApp on the Kaia Chain, using a user fund pool to generate lottery prize income while ensuring the safety of user principal. Integration with LINE Messenger enhanced user participation convenience.

Second Prize

KiloLend – KiloLend launched a decentralized lending LINE Mini DApp focused on stablecoins. Core features include dynamic interest rates, AI-assisted onboarding, gamified incentives based on KILO points, and TEE-based proxy trading to enhance security.

Third Prize

Senja – Senja achieved permissionless stablecoin lending through independent fund pools and cross-chain access via LayerZero. Its integration with LINE Mini DApp facilitates onboarding for Web2 users, and the platform includes a fee buyback mechanism.

Fourth Place

NoLoss Protocol – NoLoss Protocol built a zero-risk prediction market on the Kaia blockchain, allowing users to stake USDT for earnings. Winners share the profits, and all participants retain their principal regardless of the outcome, making it suitable for users with lower risk tolerance.

Fifth Place

ReKaUSD – This project provides yield-generating stablecoins for the KAIA Network, bridging USDT to Ethereum via Chainlink CCIP and investing in external yield strategies, thereby introducing real USD inflows into the ecosystem.
