On-chain recovery, the sniper artifact OCR creates a hundredfold profit myth again.

It has been 3 days since the Monad TGE and the mainnet launch, and finally last night, a 10M level golden dog $CHOG emerged on this new chain.

This is a relatively expected golden dog, as Chog is the mascot of Monad. When Monad first launched its testnet, there was a surge of interest in testnet NFTs, and this character has always been one of the hottest NFT series in the Monad ecosystem, with white lists flying off the shelves.

What is particularly different this time is the way the Chog team released the contract address (CA). They announced it on their official Twitter but included the CA in an image, which helps avoid many monitoring bots that target text.

However, this did not stump some "black technology" snipers. @casino616 successfully sniped when the market cap of $CHOG was only about $40,000, spending approximately $3,756 to buy about 9% of the total supply of $CHOG, ultimately accumulating profits of over $410,000, creating another story of a single token yielding over a hundred times in the crypto space.

This success has once again brought attention to the "OCR" black technology. OCR technology, short for Optical Character Recognition, is a technique that uses optical technology and computer algorithms to recognize and convert text in images into editable digital text formats, such as searchable content in Word, TXT, or PDF.

Although including the token contract address in an image can filter out those snipers who only capture tweet text, it cannot stop snipers equipped with "OCR." In fact, this is not the first time OCR technology has been discussed among crypto players; it is quite familiar to those specialized in on-chain token sniping.

The last time OCR was discussed might have been when Kanye West launched the token $YZY. At that time, the first sniper to purchase $YZY, Naseem, faced skepticism because he had also successfully sniped $TRUMP and made a profit of $109 million. One explanation was that Naseem used OCR technology to directly capture and buy any CA included in an image without manual input.

As on-chain players master increasingly advanced technologies, the gap in information acquisition has almost been erased. Just like this time with the $CHOG contract tweet, everyone can see the tweet at the first moment, so who can process the information more efficiently becomes the key to determining the outcome. Not having to manually input the token contract address can significantly reduce the cost of buying. The level of understanding of the Monad ecosystem determines whether players dare to buy this new token and how large a position they are willing to take.

In a market environment where narratives are failing, making money is becoming increasingly difficult.
