The left claims to worry about Musk and Doge looking at sensitive data. This is a new concern. Note below how many folks already get to see "everything"....not one of them elected to anything. Some background: Deep State IRS is pretending to suddenly care about taxpayer databases. Because @DOGE is seeking some level of access in order to root out fraud. A 2024 internal watchdog audit of the IRS found that the IRS (as of 2024) already gives 919 people access to unmasked taxpayer data in the Compliance Data Warehouse. The Compliance Data Warehouse is the all-inclusive mothership database in the IRS – it is in fact one of the largest databases of any kind in the world. The CDW contains the Individual Master File, the Business Master File, tax return data, taxpayer contact information, conversations between a taxpayer and an IRS agent, and actions that took place on behalf of the IRS. And 919 Biden-era individuals had unmasked access to it. Unmasked means that all 919 Biden-era individuals could see everything including personal identifiable information. Of the 919 people who had Biden-era access to the CDW database 587 were IRS employees, 239 were contractors, 73 were “other federal employees” and 20 were unpaid hires described as “researchers and student volunteers.” IRS, Democrats, and media had no problem with this.
