Kraken has been registered as a "restricted trader" in Canada, strengthening its compliance layout

According to Cointelegraph, cryptocurrency exchange Kraken announced that it has obtained registration as a "restricted trader" in Canada, marking an important milestone in its local compliance process. This license is regulated by the Ontario Securities Commission, consolidating its foundation of custody of over CAD 2 billion in assets for Canadian clients. Gemini had already withdrawn from the Canadian market by the end of 2024. Kraken also appointed former Gemini executive Cynthia Del Pozo as the General Manager for North America.
