Tobi, CEO of Shopify shared an internal memo on AI yesterday. The part on how Shopify was using AI in its workforce was interesting, but this sentence on requiring staff to improve 20-40% YoY just to requalify and match the company's high growth rate really stuck with me. This is probably key in making Shopify a world-class company. Something to really ponder upon on how fast-growing companies have their workforce upskill and improve together to sustain the company's growth.
