'THIS IS A MOMENT OF TRUTH' FOR REPUBLICAN LAWMAKERS, SEN. WARREN SAYS Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D., Mass.) renewed calls for Republicans in Congress to help Democrats pull back the tariffs. Warren said her party wanted to revoke the emergency declaration President Trump used to justify the tariffs. "The Democrats, we're ready to go, to say that Donald Trump has gone too far. There is no emergency," she said on CNBC Wednesday morning. Senators are expected to vote this week on a measure Warren helped introduce to repeal the tariffs by canceling the emergency declaration. "This is a moment of truth for Republicans," Warren said. "They can look around and see exactly what's happening" to the families, businesses and farmers they represent, she said.
