The FBI Cybercrime Complaint Center (IC3) reports that in 2024, the US population aged 60 and above will lose approximately $2.84 billion in cryptocurrency fraud, with the highest loss among all age groups, followed closely by the 40 to 49 age group with a loss of $1.46 billion. A total of 149686 cryptocurrency related complaints were received throughout the year, with a total loss of 9.3 billion US dollars, a year-on-year increase of 66%, including 5.8 billion US dollars of investment fraud and 2.47 billion US dollars
