Sichuan Province has introduced a plan to develop and strengthen emerging industries, with a focus on breakthroughs in 23 directions including artificial intelligence and robotics

On July 4th, the official WeChat account of the Sichuan Provincial Department of Economy and Information Technology announced that the General Office of the Provincial Government has recently issued the "Implementation Plan for Developing and Strengthening Emerging Industries and Accelerating the Cultivation of Future Industries (2025-2027)" (hereinafter referred to as the "Plan"), which clarifies the overall goals, key breakthrough directions, and key tasks of developing emerging industries and cultivating future industries in Sichuan. The Plan specifies 23 key breakthrough directions, including 15 emerging industries such as artificial intelligence, robotics, integrated circuits, new displays, biomedicine, nuclear medicine, commercial aerospace, new aviation, low altitude economy, hydrogen energy, new energy storage, laser equipment, additive manufacturing, bio agriculture, advanced materials, etc; Eight future industry sectors, including sixth generation mobile communication (6G), quantum technology, metaverse, cutting-edge biology, neuroscience and brain computer interface, controllable nuclear fusion, ultra high speed rail transit, deep earth science, etc.
