There's about to be a sixth ethereum execution client - developed by a gigabrain team in Argentina. Here's why that's bullish. Most chains don't have even two execution clients - Ethereum has six. That's because Ethereum specs are defined, participation is global, and self-funded teams have build incentives - escape velocity for world ledger that can last 1000 years. This ethrex client in particular pushes hard on 1) scaling and 2) based/native rollups. On scaling - ethrex is hitting 0.3 gigagas/s in test and "aims to hit at least 1 gigagas/s" in the coming months. On rollups - this is "the only client designed from the beginning to be an L1, an L2 and a based rollup."
