I’m rooting for @browsercompany to win. Here’s some friendly feedback from a devoted n-of-one: 1. Two browsers feels confusing. As a user, I can’t help but feel that one of them will eventually get shuttered. With Dia now offering side tabs, the distinction from Arc is even blurrier. I’d guess the mass majority of your install base is on Arc given its time in market. Why not evolve Arc to include Dia’s functionality? 2. Building your own AI is expensive and maybe unnecessary. Chrome now has Gemini baked in, and you're unlikely to beat that head-to-head. Personally, I’d rather see that capital go toward core browser development. Let users BYOAI. 3. AI + browser = huge opportunity, but take it further. Rather than bolting on AI features, rethink the browser as a composable platform. Imagine if I could just ask the browser, via AI, to “move my tabs to the left”, and it just works. That kind of modularity would empower people to build and personalize browsers on the fly. Full MCP support could lead to delightful, emergent behavior. e.g., like Replit/Bolt/Loveable but a browser - one I can vibe and deploy myself.
