The House of Representatives failed to pass several cryptocurrency related bills supported by Trump. Recently, those who have been following the progress of big and beautiful bills should have a good understanding of the legislative process in the United States. Proposals from one side of the House of Representatives and the Senate need to be approved by the other side before they can be submitted to the President for signature and implementation. And this time the House of Representatives did not even pass the most basic procedural motion, let alone finally passed it. Unlike the vote on the Great Beautiful Bill, which was only one vote away, this time it was 196 in favor: 223 against (all Democrats opposed+13 Republicans defected), with 435 members of Congress. There were about 419 participants in this vote, which means about 16 people did not vote or were absent. Similar to the legislation of the Great Beauty Act, small groups within the Republican Party have many interest demands, which need Trump to exchange interests before passing. Therefore, when the bill was blocked, not only did all members have questions about the bill itself, but also highlighted that Trump's rights were not unlimited, and the factional divisions within the Republican Party were also increasing. And the bill itself also has some flaws: GENIUS Act: This is a version of the stablecoin regulation bill passed by the Senate, aimed at providing a federal framework for stablecoin issuance, but conservative Republicans believe it gives the Federal Reserve too much power and demand a merger with the House version. The CLARITY Act: A bill aimed at clarifying the regulatory classification of cryptocurrency assets (such as commodities vs. securities), but Democrats have concerns that it may be related to Trump's business interests. At present, Trump has interviewed the Republican lawmakers who opposed it before, and believes that the bill will be passed after the exchange of interests is completed.
