071labs announces strategic investment in Nubit, a core infrastructure project for Bitcoin expansion. Nubit is committed to enhancing the scalability, availability, and openness of the Bitcoin ecosystem, and has developed Thunderbolt, the native soft fork of Bitcoin, as a core contributor. Thunderbolt has significantly increased the transaction throughput of Bitcoin through key technologies such as UTXO bundling and OP-CAT, enabling native support for on chain applications such as smart contracts, asset issuance, and DeFi. As of July 2025, the Thunderbolt mainnet has exceeded 4 million transactions and more than 5000 daily active users.
