Fifteen years ago today, the @CIJ_ICJ International Court of Justice issued a clear and consequential opinion: Kosovo’s declaration of independence did not violate international law. This historic opinion reaffirmed the irreversible reality that our Republic is here to stay—forever proud, democratic, sovereign and independent. To this day, it remains a call for those countries that have yet to recognize this reality and join other democracies in doing so. For those of us who had the privilege to serve on the legal team that represented our country in this historic case, it remains one of the greatest honors of our lives.(Vjosa Osmani)
