We are at a critical inflection point in Jamaican society. The environment is changing, and so is the response to crime. For too long, criminals operated with a sense of impunity, believing there was little to no consequence for their actions. But that era is over. We have fundamentally shifted the risk–reward dynamic of crime in Jamaica. Today, every criminal must understand that involvement in criminal activity comes with serious consequences. Whether you’re on the streets, behind bars, or coordinating operations from abroad, we will find you. The risk of participating in crime is now significantly higher, and it’s increasing with every passing day. Those who are importing illegal guns, orchestrating violence from overseas, or using our correctional facilities as command centers, we are coming for you. Justice will be served. To the young people of Jamaica listening, understand that this is not the same Jamaica it was 10 years ago. The Government of Jamaica is resolute, we will not allow the criminal actions of a few to hold the majority of law-abiding citizens hostage.
