Galaxy Digital appoints Matt Friedrich as Chief Legal Officer

According to Golden Finance, Galaxy Digital Inc. (NASDAQ: GLXY) (Toronto Stock Exchange: GLXY) announced today that Matt Friedrich will join the company as Chief Legal Officer, effective September 8th. Friedrich will be responsible for Galaxy Digital's global legal and compliance affairs, including regulatory interactions, corporate governance, litigation, and public policy. He will report directly to CEO and founder Mike Novogratz and become a core member of the senior leadership team at Galaxy Digital. Prior to joining Galaxy Digital, Friedrich held multiple senior internal legal positions. He previously served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel at Cognizant Technology Solutions, responsible for global legal, compliance, and government affairs; He also served as the Chief Corporate Legal Advisor at Chevron Corporation. In addition, he was a partner at the law firms of Foster+Partners and Bois Schiller Flexner, representing multinational corporations in cross-border investigations, litigation, and compliance matters. In the early stages of his career, Friedrich was a federal prosecutor who served in the US Department of Justice for 13 years. His final position in public office was Acting Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Division.
