ANZ Bank: New Zealand Federal Reserve may continue to cut interest rates

According to Golden Finance, it seems that the Reserve Bank of New Zealand will further lower official interest rates next week, and economists are mostly concerned about the central bank's predictions for the future. Sharon Zollner, Chief Economist of ANZ Bank, stated that lowering the official interest rate by 25 basis points to 3.00% seems to be a certainty. As weak high-frequency data becomes increasingly evident in hard economic data, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand may shift towards a more dovish stance and ultimately lower the official interest rate to 2.5%. But she added that it may be too early to suddenly shift in that direction next week.
