well said the kind of intellectually careful which looks like detail, effort, rigor etc isn’t really so impressive to me - you can take any path through thought space and zoom in and make it more and more locally refined so the path looks incredibly well thought out but that local constraint doesn’t do the hardest part of having a path which steer towards truth when the path is generated by an imperfect oracle - which is getting past those internal cognitive attractors and repellers that compound and make the path have increasingly high mutual information with the path-generators own mindshape a low rigor/non rough path which nonetheless doesn’t let the attractors and repellers influence it is more productive than a rough path that is influenced what exactly does the detail buy you? is it impressiveness? at some point detail is necessary but that’s when it’s time to exploit a plan(w̸͕͂͂a̷͔̗͐t̴̙͗e̵̬̔̕r̴̰̓̊m̵͙͖̓̽a̵̢̗̓͒r̸̲̽ķ̷͔́͝)
