PumpFun's Glass Full Foundation – is a stolen idea? 🚨
A "fund" to support ecosystem growth,
that has a lot of holes in it.
That's why I want to compare it to Retro9000, the similar foundation Avalanche launched.
Both aim to “support the ecosystem,” but the way they do it couldn’t be more different.
GFF — http://Pump.fun
• Dropped ~1.69M straight into meme tokens on Solana (kept ~352K on the side).
• Picks are supposedly “organic” tokens with community momentum, but no one knows the real selection criteria.
• Early plays like TOKABU and HOUSE pumped right after buys… long-term effect still TBD.
• Feels more like a liquidity injection experiment than a structured growth plan.
Retro9000 — Avalanche
• 40M pool dedicated to retroactive grants for builders who already shipped useful projects.
• Transparent process, community voting + structured review decide who gets funded.
• First round (April 2025 snapshot) rewarded 19 projects with over 1M total.
• Targeting real infrastructure & tooling that strengthens the chain for the long run.
TL:DR
• GFF = flashy buys, quick pops, mystery rules.
• Retro9000 = big budget, clear process, long-term builder incentives.
If @pumpdotfun wants GFF to go beyond meme hype, it’ll need more transparency and strategy, not just quick-fire token pumps.(Hanzo ㊗️)
