Active managers (for MFs & ETFs) have had a decreasing impact on stocks vs passive funds. Over 397 US stocks have more than 30% of their shares owned by passive. While stocks with 30% or more of their shares owned by active funds have fallen from a peak of 310 to 165 stocks. (James Seyffart)
