Tempo had the opportunity to level up Ethereum L2s and didn't take it. Maybe that's Ethereum fault. Maybe that's on Tempo, i don't know. I do know that words like permissionlessness and neutrality are easy to say - but they've never been achieved at scale without a global community of cypherpunks building and defending them. These words mean something in crypto, let's not trivialize them, let's not sap them of meaning. Can your enemies and adversaries use the chain in the same way you do - do they have the same rights and guarantees? That's what it takes to be a world ledger. There are many ledgers.
