[Linea Opens Token Claim Window, Over 9.36 Billion LINEA Tokens to Be Allocated to the Ecosystem] Ethereum Layer 2 network Linea launched its Token Generation Event (TGE) on Wednesday, opening the claim window for its native token LINEA. The claim period will last for 90 days, ending on December 9. This TGE will allocate over 9.36 billion LINEA tokens to eligible addresses. Unclaimed tokens will be returned to the Linea Alliance Ecosystem Fund to support the development of the Linea and Ethereum ecosystems. The project team completed the eligibility snapshot in July and launched the query portal last week. Users must claim tokens using the same address that holds the LXP/LXP-L token balance. According to the allocation framework, 85% of the token supply will be distributed to the ecosystem, with 10% fully unlocked for early users and developers, and 75% injected into the ecosystem fund managed by institutions such as Consensys. LINEA tokens have no allocation for the team or venture capital and will not be used for on-chain governance. Strategic directions will be jointly decided by alliance members.
