Six months before the World Trade Center attacks, Buffett realized that large-scale terrorist attacks were a 'non-zero probability,' especially targeting high-rise buildings and landmark locations. He seriously advised his insurance companies not to renew related policies, but one company didn’t take it seriously and ended up paying $2.4 billion in claims.
At Charlie’s recent memorial service, Musk’s appearance was incredibly striking and inspiring. He truly is the light of America, and even humanity. Meanwhile, appearances by other tech bigwigs were rare, which oddly makes me a bit worried. In such a somewhat chaotic setting, the possibility of some idiot trying to attack Musk is also a 'non-zero probability.' I sincerely hope old Musk lives to be 150 years old.
