I didn’t pay much attention before, but after observing these past two days, I’m pretty sure @jessepollak still has a lot to learn in the class of memes. Then the next tweet is about a meme he just launched on CA, which tanked so hard it’s unrecognizable, with the comments section full of people crying out in despair Back when Solana memes were just starting, I remember it was still the era of SBF. @aeyakovenko made the same mistake—randomly hyping multiple CAs and letting the memes he hyped crash to zero quickly, thinking that was 'buzz and prosperity.' But all this does is confuse followers, cause them to lose money quickly, and ultimately lose trust in the chain’s memes and its founder. Is this really the right approach? People’s initial excitement about a chain’s memes usually comes from the strong consensus and get-rich-quick effect of a particular meme. Breaking through and raising the market cap ceiling is the best way to energize the entire chain’s meme ecosystem. 'Base Life' actually attracted a lot of attention during his recent back-and-forth with CZ. Every bit of drama brought more buzz and stories to this ticker. The first Chinese ticker narrative on Base also made many Chinese users reasonably anticipate what’s next—like, will Binance list a Base meme Alpha? But what’s shocking is that after his sudden spree of dense Chinese-friendly posts that day, he abruptly abandoned the strongest consensus meme, the one most likely to break the ceiling. Instead, he started hyping all kinds of 'content' coins he personally liked, dropping 50 CAs a day, most of which quickly went to zero. To be honest, one of the main reasons I didn’t play around on Base before was because nothing on it lasts more than three days—it’s always just a one-off pump. I thought Jesse might’ve gained some experience this time, but it turns out it’s still the same old story. It looks lively, but there’s nothing truly worth playing or holding. You can see the Chinese players who were drawn in by his Chinese posts are now quickly leaving Base. For now, I don’t feel like spending extra time on Base either, at least not until he gets his act together. Might as well stick to playing on BNB Chain for now.
