You absolutely need to save this tweet! A lot of friends who lose money when withdrawing tokens from exchanges use the SUI or Aptos chain to transfer USDT/USDC. The main reason is that it's super cheap and the confirmation speed is insanely fast, but you must pay attention to the situations mentioned below. ✅ Besides the case of transferring to the wrong address below, yesterday another friend lost $9,000 due to a mistake—a painful lesson. You need to know: Note: Aptos ≠ Sui. These two chains are completely different, and their addresses are not compatible! Even though wallet address formats look similar, they are not interchangeable! The addresses are incompatible. Not interchangeable! Not interchangeable! Not interchangeable! Never transfer Aptos xBTC to a Sui address (and vice versa). Mistake = Burned tokens = Permanent loss! Funds cannot be recovered! ❗ Why are they not interchangeable? Although both Aptos and Sui are written in Move, and their addresses are 64-character strings starting with 0x, they are two completely different chains. Wallet addresses may look alike, but they are fundamentally different. The private key structure, signature rules, and account models are all different, and they cannot recognize each other's transactions or receive assets. Even if you use the same mnemonic phrase, the addresses generated on the two chains are not the same account—it’s just a coincidence that they look similar.
