[INTERPOL Arrests 19 Suspects for Illegal Use of Virtual Assets, Seizes $260 Million in Terror-Related Funds] INTERPOL and the African Police Organization jointly conducted a two-month operation targeting terrorism financing and related illegal activities. A total of 83 suspects were arrested across six African countries, including 19 individuals detained for allegedly using virtual assets illegally. During the operation, law enforcement agencies screened over 15,000 individuals and entities, uncovering approximately $260 million in funds potentially linked to terrorist activities, including both fiat currency and virtual currency. So far, around $600,000 has been seized, and investigations are ongoing to trace and recover more assets involved.
