[U.S. Treasury's Plan to Issue Trump Commemorative Coin Sparks Strong Criticism from Lawmakers, Who Question Its Connection to Meme Coin TRUMP] According to Golden Finance, the U.S. Treasury's plan to issue a $1 Trump presidential commemorative coin has sparked strong criticism from lawmakers. The commemorative coin is intended to celebrate the 250th anniversary of U.S. independence, featuring Trump's portrait on the front and an image of him raising his fist in front of the American flag on the back, along with the words 'Fight, Fight, Fight.' Democratic Senator Chris Van Hollen questioned during a Senate Banking Committee nomination hearing on Thursday, stating that printing a president's portrait on official coins is illegal. He further expressed outrage over the design's connection to the TRUMP meme coin, from which Trump has profited. 'Fight, Fight, Fight' is the name of the company behind the TRUMP meme coin, which was launched by Trump just days before his second inauguration earlier this year. Paul Hollis, the nominee for Director of the U.S. Mint, responded to the inquiry by stating that he would be '100% committed to always adhering to the law.'
