[SBF to Appeal 25-Year Sentence, Claiming FTX Case 'Presumed Guilty'] BlockBeats News, November 4, according to Bloomberg, SBF's lawyers will file an appeal with the appellate court, arguing that the media, prosecutors, and U.S. District Judge Lewis Kaplan rushed to judgment at the time, leading to his wrongful conviction. SBF's lawyers are requesting a new judge for a retrial. The defense team asserts that SBF did not intend to defraud customers and has always believed that user funds would be fully repaid. Furthermore, Judge Kaplan wrongly prevented him from explaining to the jury the critical fact that "FTX had sufficient assets to repay exchange users." According to a source familiar with the matter earlier this year, in addition to the appeal, SBF's parents have been seeking a pardon from President Donald Trump.
