**[Berachain Foundation Confirms Full Recovery of Stolen Funds, BEX Functions Temporarily Restricted to Ensure User Safety]**
The Berachain Foundation announced early this morning that approximately $12.8 million in stolen funds from the BEX/Balancer V2 exploit have been fully recovered and returned to the foundation's deployment wallet. The team expressed gratitude to the white-hat hackers who assisted in recovering the funds and plans to remove malicious tags from their addresses, with considerations for issuing bounties as a token of appreciation.
Currently, all BEX functions (including swaps, withdrawals, deposits, etc.) remain restricted, while the minting and redemption of HONEY have been restored. Due to the suspension of BGT and incentives over the past 24 hours, the on-chain APR display may show anomalies.
Regarding the allocation of affected funds, the Berachain core team is developing a system to assign and distribute them to the original user addresses one by one. Deposits in BEX that were not impacted by the exploit are currently also unable to be withdrawn. The team stated that this precautionary measure is being taken while closely monitoring Balancer's ongoing investigation to ensure that all user funds can be safely returned as soon as possible.
