Took a short break these past couple of days, now back to creating content. Let’s dive into Zama’s Q4 updates. @zama was founded in 2020 by Pascal Paillier and Rand Hindi. It’s an open-source team turning FHE into engineered products: enabling computation on encrypted data without decryption, targeting private AI, confidential on-chain applications, and secure cloud solutions. Their tech stack includes Concrete, Concrete ML, and FHEVM. The team has over 90 members, mostly cryptography PhDs, and has raised over $150M in funding. On-chain, they’ve achieved around 20 TPS, with a goal of scaling to thousands. Recent examples: Alpha Engine makes AMM liquidity “invisible,” Obol uses FHE to encrypt Eurodollar single-pair lending balances, and Zolymarket protects prediction market betting privacy. Zaïffer, launched with Pyratzlabs, has already demonstrated encrypted USDC transfer amounts and paths on Sepolia, balancing compliance and privacy, and secured €2M to push for mainnet.
