Fan Shao was detained for 7 days for infringing on privacy rights. Seeing this news makes me feel quite complicated. On one hand, infringing on others' privacy rights can indeed lead to detention, which is a good case, especially in our circle; on the other hand, some major media outlets often talk nonsense about strict domestic policies, claiming that cryptocurrency practitioners are easily caught, yet many in the crypto space who engage in shady activities haven't been seen in jail… Issuing tokens is illegal, right? There are quite a few projects that charge fees or recommend partnerships and then run away, leading to significant collective losses and triggering mass incidents, but does reporting them have any effect? I see they are all doing fine. Moreover, because there isn't much consequence, they have become even bolder.
