On Jan. 18, the cryptocurrency platform Moonshot marked its six-month anniversary by posting on X. The platform highlighted its role in the launch of the “Official Trump” (TRUMP) meme coin and noted that it has since witnessed substantial trading activity.
“Today marks 6 months since launch,” Moonshot said on X. “In the last 12 hours, we were featured on $TRUMP’s website as THE way to buy, processed nearly $400m in volume, crushed fiat onramp records by orders of magnitude, and brought 200k+ new people onchain.”
Additionally, the company stated that it was handling an “extremely high load” while managing a substantial volume of support tickets. “Moonshot just powered one of the most significant onboarding events in crypto history—thank you to everyone who’s supported us. Job’s not finished,” the X account added.

Data compiled from Dune Analytics reveals that Moonshot processed $1.59 million in fees on Saturday, while Jan. 19 saw $2.16 million settled through the platform. Before the launch of the TRUMP token, Moonshot averaged between 3,500 and 4,900 unique daily traders. However, on Saturday, that number skyrocketed to 93,836, with Sunday’s count reaching 91,470 distinct daily traders.
The leading currency on Moonshot is tether (USDT), which has accounted for $32,884,432 in trading volume on the app over the past 24 hours. Meanwhile, TRUMP recorded $3,045,965 in volume within the same period. The dramatic increase in trading activity and user participation on Moonshot following the debut of TRUMP coin signals a shift in user preferences and evolving market trends in the meme coin space.
If the platform continues its trajectory of record-breaking milestones and a growing user base, its strategic initiatives may redefine industry benchmarks for meme coin trading, pushing the frontiers of innovation in decentralized finance (defi).
