Bybit, one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges has taken a major step toward transparency by fully disclosing real-time liquidation data.

According to a press release, Bybit has upgraded its application programming interface (API) with a new websocket topic, “All Liquidations” which updates data every 500 milliseconds, ensuring complete visibility into market movements.

“The real spirit of crypto is transparency. By making all liquidation data fully public, we are taking a proactive approach in response to the crypto community’s demand for openness. This initiative ensures that traders and analysts can access complete and real-time market data, empowering them with the insights they need,” said Ben Zhou, Bybit’s co-founder and CEO.

He emphasized that previous industry-wide data reporting failed to capture the full scale of liquidations due to API limitations. Bybit’s latest update corrects this gap, offering traders and analysts a clearer picture of market dynamics.

The move has already impacted the industry, with Coinglass integrating Bybit’s new data feed to provide users with real-time visualization of liquidation events.
