Recently, I've been hearing many friends talk about Truth Social's plans to issue a token. Coincidentally, I've also looked into the compliance issues, treating it as entertainment. There are two main points:

1. According to the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), if a token has investment characteristics, it may be considered a security and needs to be registered or exempted. For example, the $TRUMP token launched by Trump has drawn regulatory attention due to its investment nature, and several members of Congress are currently initiating reviews and legislative proposals.

2. Specifically, there are calls for federal ethics agencies to investigate the TRUMP project regarding the practice of obtaining opportunities to have dinner with the president through investment tokens. The proposers are Congress members Adam Schiff and Elizabeth Warren.

So, I personally think that Truth Social may indeed issue a token, but it's highly likely that Trump won't come out and announce it, nor will his family. Additionally, they might even consider a split in advance, as issuing a token is very profitable. Reports indicate that the Trump family has earned about $320 million from transaction fees and token sales through the TRUMP project, while ordinary investors have suffered losses of about $2 billion.
