Two days ago, the NFT marketplace Magic Eden teamed up with Fight Fight Fight to announce what they claimed would be the debut of a Trump Wallet. Both companies posted the update on X, but Magic Eden’s post quickly drew a Community Note pointing out that Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump have flatly denied any ties to the project.

Now, the chaos appears to stem from alleged behind-the-scenes drama within Trump’s expanding crypto circle and its players. Bloomberg’s Olga Kharif reports that “a person familiar with the matter who asked for anonymity” confirmed World Liberty Financial has delivered a cease and desist notice to Fight Fight Fight.

According to Kharif, none of the involved parties—World Liberty Financial, Magic Eden, or Fight Fight Fight—responded to Bloomberg’s request for comment about the story. The report also claims the drama kicked off right after the wallet was unveiled, with Magic Eden reportedly receiving the same cease-and-desist warning.

At the time, the saga had sparked a frenzy across social media, especially after Donald Trump Jr. and Eric Trump publicly trashed the project. The news also drops amid a spat between Elon Musk and President Donald Trump. Musk didn’t hold back on X when it came to Trump, and Trump, for his part, said he was fine with Musk “turning against” him.

World Liberty Financial is reportedly gearing up to launch its own wallet, and the real issue appears to be the name of the wallet promoted by Fight Fight Fight and Magic Eden—if it ever launches.
