Capital is neither good nor evil; it can create the greatest evil or the greatest good.
Good and evil are determined by structure. What is structure? It is the productive forces and the relations of production.
Humanity has come a long way from a laborious society through feudal and authoritarian societies to today's relatively free society. This is not because capital has improved, but because the current productive forces demand the liberation and freedom of human nature.
Although I have always worried about robots taking away human jobs, this is just one possibility. From a human perspective, the winds often arise from the edges of the green rush, and what changes the world order is not necessarily the central powers, such as Genghis Khan rising from the Mongolian Plateau, Britain emerging from a small island on the fringes of Europe, or earlier, the Qin Dynasty rising from the border of the Central Plains in Guanzhong.
What does this indicate? It indicates that humanity needs diversity. It is often difficult to predict what will drive the next advancement of humanity, while central empires frequently enter a state of stability because their structures have adapted after years of evolution; pulling one thread can affect the whole, making it hard to correct.
This is why the United States is where it is now. Before Trump took office, I had some hopes for reform from these two individuals, but look at the current situation—it's a mess. Is there anyone stronger than Trump in terms of reform? I think not. The fate of America is sealed; the countdown for the Roman Empire has begun.
China is also plagued with numerous issues, but the advantage for China is that its per capita level is still low, with at least 3-5 times the room for development compared to developed countries. During this period, any problems will be offset by development.
