First of all, a house can be understood as part of asset allocation. The idea of allocation is to buy high-risk, medium-risk, and low-risk assets. Because it is part of asset allocation logic, good houses in core locations are considered the highest level.
Secondly, from an investment perspective, real estate as an asset allocation is a leverage that won't go bankrupt. For example, during rare opportunities like a global financial crisis or a significant drop in Bitcoin, you can always mortgage the house to buy at the bottom—always fully invested in the market, always emotionally invested, and there is always some money outside that can come in at any time. This mindset is very beneficial.
A few years ago, I had several properties outside the market and only 100,000 USDT in the market. I went all in on Bonk with that 100,000 USDT and multiplied it several times… A good mindset allows you to hold on longer because you can afford the losses.
