Moca Foundation has announced the launch of Moca Chain, a Layer 1 blockchain specifically designed for identity and user data. Moca Chain will support the development of identity protocols across various industry scenarios, enabling individuals, devices, and AI agents to autonomously control, integrate, and verify their digital credentials without relying on centralized platforms. Additionally, by integrating with consumer applications, it will accelerate a user-centric growth model that also prioritizes privacy protection. The testnet and mainnet of Moca Chain are expected to go live in the third quarter and fourth quarter of 2025, respectively.

Moca Chain will enable on-chain and off-chain user data to be verified across any chain application through decentralized data storage, cross-chain identity oracles, Web data zero-knowledge generation (zkTLS), and on-chain verification capabilities. The chain will operate as a modular, EVM-compatible blockchain, capable of interoperation with other chains, providing identity and data layer services to partners and adopters. Moca Chain will use MOCA Coin as its core token for paying gas fees, validator staking, storage, oracle services, and data generation and verification costs.

Once data is issued to users, it can be verified anywhere through zero-knowledge proofs, eliminating the need for reliance on centralized API integrations, thus enabling cross-expansion of user groups and shifting verification from centralized platforms to a user-centric model.

Moca Chain will operate in conjunction with Moca Network's AIR Kit, which is a global account, identity, and reputation software development kit (SDK). Developers can utilize the AIR Kit to build feature-rich applications with smart accounts and verifiable credentials, and its modular permission mechanism also helps create more user-friendly products.
