I found out that the Fort Worth City Hall is using three Bitmain Antminer S9 mining machines for this Bitcoin mining pilot program, and the city expects each machine to consume less than $1 in electricity per day.

These three mining machines were donated for free by the Texas Blockchain Council.

Fort Worth Mayor Mattie Parker stated, "This is not about making money, but a signal to the world that we welcome innovation, blockchain, and the crypto ecosystem."

The main goal is likely to help the city establish a "tech-friendly" image to attract more $BTC mining companies to Texas.
