On August 6, the cryptocurrency exchange Bybit released its new roadmap for the future of the cryptocurrency industry, marking the beginning of a new era focused on innovation, security, and trading excellence.
In the speech “Keynote with Ben: Reshaping What’s Next, Bit by Bit”, Bybit co-founder and CEO Ben Zhou shared his forward-looking vision for the industry's development, focusing on real-world applications, institutional-level innovation, and deep ecosystem collaboration.

Ben emphasized Bybit's "compliance-first" development strategy at the beginning of his speech. As the industry matures, compliance has become a key cornerstone. Bybit is now fully compliant with the EU's MiCAR (Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation) requirements and successfully obtained registration from the Financial Intelligence Unit of India (FIU-India) in the first half of 2025.

In February of this year, a third-party vendor of Bybit suffered a multi-stage complex attack, becoming the largest hacking incident in the cryptocurrency industry to date. Bybit's own infrastructure remained intact, and it quickly activated its response mechanism: within weeks, it completed nine comprehensive audits conducted by internal and independent security experts and implemented over 50 security upgrades.
This swift and transparent response received widespread acclaim in the industry and established a new industry benchmark for platform security.
Infrastructure Upgrades to Strengthen Trading Experience
Bybit continues to enhance platform performance and stability. Its upgraded matching engine can handle 3.5 million transactions per second, with daily order processing nearing 20 billion, representing a year-on-year growth of 75% in the first half of 2025.
By expanding "Retail Price Optimization (RPI)" to perpetual contracts, Bybit achieved a 150% increase in liquidity and up to a 5-fold improvement in order execution efficiency, making it highly favored by professional and VIP traders, further solidifying its position as the "preferred platform for professional trading."
Reconstructing the New Landscape of Crypto Wealth Management
With the continuous entry of institutions and high-net-worth clients, Bybit is reshaping wealth management in the digital age. Its newly launched wealth management platform has surpassed $150 million in assets under management (AUM), providing personalized investment portfolios and strategic services for mature investors, backed by Bybit's strong trading depth and security system.
Practicality Upgraded: Bybit Card and Crypto Payment Ecosystem
The newly upgraded Bybit Card is also one of the highlights of this speech. This "crypto-native business card" supports Visa and Mastercard networks, integrating smart security features and real-time spending tracking, catering to both corporate and personal scenarios, truly achieving seamless connectivity between crypto assets and real-world consumption scenarios.
The Bybit Card is expected to enter the EU market in August and plans to launch in Peru and Colombia in the fourth quarter.

The local QR code payment feature supporting Southeast Asia and Latin America has led to a 719% quarter-on-quarter increase in payment usage. Bybit has officially launched the upgraded Bybit App—a comprehensive platform that combines active trading and passive income. The "Bybit Lite" version is aimed at the general public and has restructured the "earn crypto" module, providing simplified personalized strategies to help users activate idle assets more efficiently.
Mantle 2.0 Strategic Cooperation Opens a New Chapter
The speech also announced a deeper strategic collaboration between Bybit and Mantle to jointly promote the development of "institutional-grade on-chain finance." With the official launch of Mantle 2.0, its ecosystem integration and leadership team have also been upgraded—Bybit Co-CEO and Partner Helen and the head of spot and Web 3, Emily, will serve as core advisors.
