CZ's midnight AMA, what is the wealth code?

On October 8, CZ made a rare appearance at the "BNB Super Cycle" AMA hosted by Trust Wallet, sharing the stage with core BNB projects like Aster, Four.meme, and Pancake.

During the AMA, CZ addressed recent hot topics in the BNB Chain ecosystem and shared his deep insights and thoughts on the future trends of the crypto industry.

Rhythm BlockBeats compiled ten key responses from him that are worth noting, covering the MEME market, Aster's growth, Yzi Labs' investment direction, new opportunities in RWA and AI, as well as the era's significance of "Binance Life."

Q1: What is the current state of the crypto market?

"Everyone's in hack mode and war mode," CZ said, describing the current market as a high-pressure battle. Project teams are almost not sleeping, constantly experimenting, and rapidly launching. He stated that this is not chaos, but "the adrenaline of the crypto industry."

Q2: How did BNB Chain grow?

"I didn't plan it. I just help people become more successful." CZ's metaphor is "a garden, not a skyscraper." He does not plan but allows good projects to grow naturally.
Launchpad, Trust Wallet, Pancake, and Esther's listing teams—these originally independent projects have now become a collaborative ecosystem.

Q3: Was "Binance Life" planned?

CZ responded, "Completely unplanned; I didn't even think it would become popular."

He recalled seeing a post from a netizen, Lin Wanwan's cat, a few days ago that said, "Work hard, enjoy Binance Life," and he casually replied, "That's Binance Life." Within a day, this phrase became a meme and went viral across the internet.

On the day of the Mid-Autumn Festival, he modified a blessing tweet, and the BNB community exploded with retweets, remakes, and imitations.

CZ believes, "You cannot predict the energy of the community; it is organic." There was no budget, no marketing, but it resonated with everyone. In his view, "Binance Life" is a metaphor for an era—everyone working hard on-chain has embodied it.

Q4: Thoughts on Four.Meme

CZ mentioned that he recently discussed another issue: future exchanges, Launchpads, and DEXs should not only support English and Chinese but should allow more languages to be seen in the ecosystem. "This might be a bit difficult for me personally (laughs), but we must support it. Blockchain is about enabling more people to participate."

Q5: About Aster

The Aster project team plans to become a multi-chain liquidity aggregation layer, supporting multi-asset collateral, and will launch a perpetual contract trading feature natively integrated with Trust Wallet next week.

CZ believes that DEX growth does not equal competition but is a win-win situation.

"Trading any cryptocurrency is good for BNB."

He emphasized that the success of BNB Chain does not rely on competition. "Many people think Layer 1s must compete, but that's not the case. When one chain becomes stronger, the entire industry becomes stronger."

Currently, the penetration rate of the crypto world is still less than 1%; the real goal is to grow the entire industry.

He also mentioned that Aster's current high trading volume partly comes from the Stage 2 Airdrop, but this is a healthy traffic-driving mechanism. The key is whether it can attract real users and institutions to participate based on this.

Q6: About prediction markets like Polymarket

CZ believes that "prediction markets" will be a very large field in the future.

Some even refer to it as "event contracts"—any event can become a contract subject.

In CZ's view, monetary voting is more persuasive than linguistic voting. The narratives of traditional or mainstream media are no longer accurate.

We have seen this in the Israel-Palestine conflict and even in the last U.S. election—prediction market results are often closer to the truth than polls or media.

This will be a huge market; although it is not large enough now, I believe we are at its starting point.

Q7: About RWA and AI

CZ believes that both RWA and AI are very new fields, each with enormous potential.
The vision of RWA is "everything can be tokenized";
The potential of AI lies in the fact that it will bring trading frequencies millions of times greater than the current levels. AI models will settle, collaborate, and even make payments using cryptocurrencies.

However, in reality, RWA currently faces two major challenges:

  1. Liquidity issues:
Not all assets have high volatility or trading demand.
If prices hardly fluctuate, the order book will thin out, further decreasing liquidity.
"No volatility means no trading volume."

  2. Compliance issues:
Different countries have different definitions of RWA: some consider it securities, while others do not.
Is there a need for on-chain whitelists, KYC, or licensed issuance?
These legal issues are complex and fragmented.

Q8: Centralization and decentralization will not be opposed?

CZ added: If user growth in the crypto world stagnates, people will naturally migrate towards decentralization;

But the reality is that over 90% of people globally have not used crypto products. "For them, the centralized exchange experience with email login and customer support is simpler."

So, in the short term, CEX remains the main entry point for Web2 users; in the long term, decentralization will gradually take over more trading scenarios.

He predicts that the next four years (the next cycle) may be a critical turning point for this migration.

"We won't decentralize overnight, but the trend is irreversible."

Q9: Yzi Labs has committed $1 billion in investments. What emerging technologies or directions are you looking for next?

CZ feels that currently, it is more about "going with the flow."
The BNB Chain ecosystem is very strong in areas like trading liquidity and token issuance, which has almost become the community's DNA.

However, in the AI direction, it is still relatively weak. In fact, not just BNB, the entire crypto industry does not yet have particularly strong AI+Crypto projects. CZ knows that saying this might offend some AI project teams (laughs),

Overall, we will invest in all potential directions and are not limited to a specific track. This is CZ's intuitive judgment of the entire market.

Q10: U.S. regulation and the future

The host asked, "If the U.S. changes administration next year, will it target you again?"

CZ replied, "The current U.S. government is very pro-crypto; the previous one was anti-crypto, and everyone knows this."

The change in the new government's stance is driving a shift in global regulatory attitudes.

"In three years, regardless of which party is in power, the crypto industry will be too large to reverse.
You can block the internet, but you cannot eliminate the internet.
The same goes for crypto."
