After hinting at the purchase on Sunday via social media, Saylor confirmed the bitcoin acquisition on Monday, noting that the latest buy expands Strategy’s growing bitcoin reserves. The company, which has become known for its aggressive BTC accumulation strategy, continues to view bitcoin as a core treasury asset amid volatile market conditions.

“Strategy has acquired 220 BTC for ~$27.2 million at ~$123,561 per bitcoin and has achieved BTC Yield of 25.9% YTD 2025,” Saylor said. “As of 10/12/2025, we hodl 640,250 BTC acquired for ~$47.38 billion at ~$74,000 per bitcoin.”

Strategy’s latest purchase reinforces his steadfast belief in bitcoin’s long-term potential, even amid heightened market volatility. Still, many thought it was quite odd that the company purchased BTC at more than $123,000 per coin when they could have gotten a better deal.
