When CZ talks, crypto listens. The former Binance boss lit up feeds around 9:33 a.m. Eastern time Sunday with his latest move — scooping up some ASTER tokens like it was just another Sunday coffee run.

“Full disclosure. I just bought some Aster today, using my own money, on Binance. I am not a trader. I buy and hold,” CZ wrote.

Aster, the project in question, is a decentralized exchange (dex) in the same league as Hyperliquid, offering perpetuals for traders who like to keep the action going. Its native token, ASTER, wears many hats — governance power, trading fee discounts, staking rewards, and liquidity incentives all rolled into one.

With a max supply of 8 billion and 2.017 billion currently circulating as of Nov. 3, 2025, ASTER only hit exchanges in mid-Sept. Back on Sept. 17, it was scraping by at $0.09971 per coin. Now sitting at $1, ASTER’s climbed more than 900% from that low.

At press time, ASTER trades between $0.988 and $1 per coin after briefly popping to $1.25 right after CZ’s X confession. One X user pointed out that CZ basically lit the charts on fire, triggering a massive green candle. CZ couldn’t resist chiming in himself, replying, “Damn, I was hoping to buy some more at low prices.” The Binance founder also wrote:

“I don’t buy tokens often.”

CZ’s post on X racked up more than 23,000 likes and over 7,500 re-posts, proving his influence is still very much intact. He followed up with a nostalgic note: “I bought some BNB in the first month of its TGE 8 years ago, and held all of it (except spendings).” Meanwhile, seven-day stats show ASTER has dipped 8.6% against the U.S. dollar and remains down 58.5% from its $2.41 all-time high set on Sept. 24.
