Indeed, I spend a lot of time alone, and a significant amount of that time is dedicated to reading and writing. Even when there are people at home, I often find myself sitting in front of the computer for more than ten hours.

I don’t feel lonely. Although I may seem reclusive, I have a lot of social interactions around me. There are regular gatherings every week, and I often chat, eat, and boast with friends. This is also one of the reasons I don’t have much time to watch Douyin; my daily life is quite fulfilling, and I rarely feel bored or like I have nothing to do.

Even when I look at my phone, I usually do it after I finish writing at night, just before going to bed. Aside from checking the market, I probably only use my phone for about an hour each day. A few months ago, I used it a bit more to post on Xiaohongshu, but recently I’ve posted less, saving time on Xiaohongshu.

I’m not particularly fond of the entertainment provided by short videos. As I mentioned earlier, if it’s a good show, I prefer to watch the entire series rather than just a condensed version of a few minutes. Watching a compressed version of a show makes me lose interest in watching the full series. I also enjoy playing games, but most of them are casual games that I can put down at any time, and I play fewer pure online games now.

Rather than saying my life is lonely, it might be more accurate to say it seems boring to others, especially when I spend several hours in front of the computer writing and reading. However, this kind of boredom is fun for me. I might be a bit old-fashioned, but I still enjoy real-life entertainment and interacting with friends offline while I write online, without interfering with either.
