In the past few days, I have been seeing PerleLabs @PerleLabs $PRL being listed for airdrop release by Coinbase,

along with the announcement of the airdrop eligibility query link and token economics;

but since I didn't bring my computer, I couldn't check it.

I saw many people talking about getting banned, and I thought I would be banned too, but I found out that two out of three accounts are still alive after checking.

Additionally, I saw the official also released an appeal channel; if you didn't receive the airdrop eligibility for @PerleLabs, you can appeal for the airdrop. Here is the appeal link:

Here are some of my thoughts:

1. What exactly is PerleLabs?

I checked a few accounts because I was curious about this project, so I specifically did some research; the core concept is actually quite interesting.

PerleLabs received investments from Framework and CoinFund last year and the year before, with an AI data training protocol founded by core members of Scale AI (the AI data giant valued at $30 billion).

What they are doing is quite fundamental; I mentioned it when writing about airdrops last year:

mainly providing a truly verifiable data infrastructure for enterprise-grade and sovereign AI.

Now the application of AI is becoming more widespread, but the data is sometimes becoming less accurate because the trend has become: for efficiency and convenience, many models are increasingly training AI with data generated by AI.

There is a term in research called model collapse, where the model's capability will gradually collapse when training data is continually polluted, synthesized, or recycled.

If we've been using Openclaw deeply recently, we might have a sense of this; I played with two lobsters and messed them up because initially, I wasn't very skilled, randomly modifying the data and hitting my models, causing the data to become polluted and overwritten, ultimately leading to confused memories in the lobsters, making it a chaotic mess.

So this is a serious matter; for personal use, if it breaks, we can still create a new account; however, in high-standard industries, especially high-risk scenarios like healthcare, national defense, and autonomous driving, a single data source with unclear origins could lead to major problems.

Therefore, Perle's approach is to have real human experts annotate and review, with all records directly on-chain and auditable, rewarding you for “how much valuable data labor you provided,” thus obtaining truly scarce data: verified and trustworthy human data.

2. Current Announcement on Airdrop Query and Claiming

How to Claim

1) Directly enter: http://register.perle.xyz

Do not click on unfamiliar links (99% of comments/DMs on Twitter are phishing)

Confirm it is https + the domain name is exactly the same;

2) Connect Wallet (Solana)

Click Connect Wallet;

Select your commonly used wallet (Phantom/OKX, etc.)

Make sure to use the wallet you previously used for Perle tasks;

3) Bind Social Account (to prevent bans)

After checking your eligibility, you need to do identity binding: you can bind Twitter (X) and Discord

4) Complete Platform Tasks (key step)

You also need to enter the Perle platform dashboard, where you will see a task list, and complete 5 tasks (must do)

to activate that you are a “real active user,” as this may affect future airdrop ratios; don’t leave the tasks unfinished and be seen as a bot.

5) VeryAI Palm Verification (key point)

This time, PerleLabs chose a brand new KYC model: VeryAI uses a phone to scan your palm; just follow the process,

I think this method is quite good: it doesn’t require an ID, doesn’t need a face scan, and doesn’t store original biological data, making it safer.

3. Research on the Token Economic Model:

The currently provided allocation model is:

Community: 37.5%

Investors: 27.66%

Team: 17%

Ecosystem: 17.84%

The community part is the largest, with Community = airdrop + tasks + incentive pool + foundation-controlled part, accounting for the largest share.

Then the initial circulation is ≈ 17.5%;

VCs will not start releasing until 12 months later, so there is no VC selling pressure, but prices will rely more on market sentiment rather than fundamentals.
