According to Reuters, Pakistan has proposed a two-phase agreement to Iran.
1. An immediate cessation of hostilities now. The Strait of Hormuz will be reopened immediately.
2. The cessation of hostilities phase is expected to last 15 to 20 days, ultimately leading to a comprehensive peace agreement, temporarily called the Islamabad Agreement.
The final agreement may include: Iran agreeing to limit its nuclear program (not to develop nuclear weapons). The United States lifting sanctions on Iran and unfreezing assets. The United States acknowledging a broader framework for security in the Strait of Hormuz.
Iranian officials told Reuters: Tehran has received Pakistan's proposal and is currently reviewing it.
Iran will not accept any deadlines or pressure. Tehran will not reopen the Strait of Hormuz in exchange for a temporary ceasefire.
However, the current flow in the Strait of Hormuz has gradually improved.
