Filecoin Onchain Cloud (FOC) has officially launched its mainnet. This is a programmable storage and payment infrastructure built for the AI Agent era - data holding is validated through on-chain proofs, payments are executed automatically through smart contracts, and every operation generates an auditable permanent record.

Since the testnet launch in November 2025, over 100 development teams have started building on FOC, covering areas such as AI Agents, decentralized front-ends, computing workflows, and data indexing. Why Now

AI is generating data at an unprecedented speed, but traditional cloud infrastructure faces fundamental challenges in four areas:

• Lack of verifiable records for data operations - logs, reasoning processes, and model outputs of Agents cannot be independently verified;
• Automated systems struggle to independently complete payments - AI Agents cannot use credit cards or centralized account systems;
• Lack of persistence and cryptographic guarantees in Agent memory - state storage between sessions cannot be enforced;
• Blurred boundaries of data sovereignty - countries are increasingly strict about regulatory requirements for data storage by region.

FOC directly addresses these four issues at the infrastructure level through on-chain proofs and programmable payment mechanisms.

Core Capabilities of the Mainnet

Verifiable Redundant Storage Each upload is automatically distributed to two independent storage nodes and generates on-chain proofs; if a node is abnormal, the system automatically replaces and re-copies it without developer intervention.

Continuous Node Evaluation Continuous evaluation of nodes via DealBot: storage success rate must be ≥ 95%, retrievability within 5 seconds must be ≥ 95%, PDP annual failure rate must be < 1%. Nodes that do not meet the standards will be removed from the network.

On-chain Data Proof (PDP) Storage data is verified on-chain every 24 hours; failure to verify will automatically suspend payments. Developers can view proof status and node history in real-time through the PDP browser.

Agent Native Payments Supports AI Agents to directly manage wallets and storage processes via the Synapse SDK, without manual involvement, compatible with ERC-8004 cross-Agent interoperability standards.

Ecological Dynamics: MoonPay Releases Open Wallet Standard, Natively Supporting Filecoin

Along with the launch of the FOC mainnet, MoonPay has released the Open Wallet Standard - an open-source specification that provides a standard way for AI Agents to securely hold assets, sign transactions, and make payments without exposing private keys.

This standard has been jointly contributed by over 15 organizations, including participants from the Filecoin ecosystem, natively supports Filecoin, and is compatible with mainstream chains like EVM, Solana, and Bitcoin. This development further establishes Filecoin as the ecological position of the storage layer in the Agent economy.

Main Application Scenarios

AI Agent and Automated Systems Agents can independently complete storage and payments via the SDK, running logs and reasoning records are stored on-chain for proof, supporting cross-Agent interoperability (ERC-8004).

AI Data Pipeline Dataset ingestion, transformation, and model checkpoint management retain complete on-chain records, supporting full auditable tracing of "what data, when, and by whom was processed."

Decentralized Applications and Websites User-generated content, application states, and front-end resources can be directly stored in decentralized networks, achieving data persistence and auditability. Filecoin Nova has been completed as a proof of concept project.

FOC Skills Officially Launched: Bringing the Complete Storage Stack to Terminals and AI Agents

Filecoin Onchain Cloud now supports access via CLI, MCP Server, and AI Skills, allowing developers to directly manage wallets, perform dataset operations, and schedule storage providers in terminals or AI Agents without switching toolchains.

CLI Directly operate FOC in the command line to manage wallets, upload datasets, and query storage statuses.

MCP Server Exposes FOC storage capabilities as MCP tools, which can be called by any AI system compatible with the MCP protocol.

AI Skills Drive the Synapse SDK directly with natural language commands, allowing Agents to complete the entire storage and payment process without human intervention.
