In response to the recent statement from the U.S. State Department claiming that the U.S. is "acting in self-defense" in its war against Iran, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Baghaei posted on social media: "What exactly is this so-called 'self-defense' defending against? Does Iran launch any 'armed attacks' to give you an excuse? Absolutely not! Therefore, this is not 'self-defense' at all—this is a blatant act of aggression against the state of Iran."
