As the 2026 World Cup countdown begins, not only the prediction market but also the sports collectibles market is starting to heat up.

For the card market, the World Cup is not just a sports event; it is also a window for the concentrated release of emotions related to trading star cards, limited edition cards, and sports collectibles. Indeed, cards are not a niche market; in the Web2 world, sports cards, Pokémon cards, and various collectible cards have already formed a trading and collecting ecosystem worth tens of billions of dollars.

Recently, Odaily Planet Daily observed that MarketCards is attempting to bring these real-world collectible assets onto the chain, allowing rare cards not only to be displayed and collected but also to further participate in subscription, trading, and on-chain pricing.

On June 4, MarketCards announced the launch of its first MintBox subscription event. This is an on-chain asset debut event centered around rare physical cards; the platform will personally procure 68 rare star cards in a 1:1 ratio, corresponding tokenized rights will be 100% publicly issued to all participants.

Project Introduction

MarketCards is an on-chain asset platform focused on real collectible cards, with the core direction being the tokenization of sports cards, rare cards, and other physical collectibles. In the past, such card assets mainly circulated in offline collector circles or Web2 trading platforms, facing issues such as limited trading radius, decentralized pricing, and insufficient liquidity. MarketCards aims to bring real card assets into a more transparent and tradable on-chain trading system through on-chain confirmation of rights, public issuance, and secondary market trading.

MintBox, this subscription event, is the first public offering mechanism for Tokenized Interest launched by MarketCards. Simply put, when a card or a set of cards is tokenized on the platform, subscriptions will be opened to all users through MintBox, and corresponding rights will be allocated according to public and verifiable rules.

MintBox Lottery Method

1. Purchase Tickets and obtain a number. Users can obtain 1 Ticket for every 10 USDC spent, each Ticket has a unique 4-digit number (e.g., 2727), which is randomly generated and displayed by the system upon completion of the subscription. Additionally, each Ticket also records the generation time, which is used as the basis for ranking within the same group.

2. Obtain Draw Factor number. After the subscription ends, the platform will take the Binance BTC/USDC spot price at June 8, 00:00 UTC, keep two decimal places, and sequentially extract the tens, units, first decimal, and second decimal to form a 4-digit Draw Factor. For example, if the price of BTC at that time was 77,795.60, then the tens would be 9; the units would be 5; the first decimal would be 6; the second decimal would be 0, making the Draw Factor 9560.

3. Compare user Tickets with Draw Factor one by one. The user’s Ticket 4-digit number will be compared with the Draw Factor, with only the numbers fully matching in the same position counted as “hit”. The more hit positions, the higher the lottery level. For example, if the Draw Factor is 9560 and the user’s Ticket is 3560, hitting three positions means 3/4 hits.

4. Rank user Tickets. First sort by the number of hits (4/4 > 3/4 > 2/4 > 1/4 > 0/4); then within the same group, sort by subscription time, with earlier entries ranked higher.

5. Obtain corresponding Box number based on Ticket ranking. There are a total of 30,000 Boxes; the Tickets ranked from 1 to 30,000 will receive corresponding Boxes in order, with the 1st place getting Box #1, the 2nd place getting Box #2, and so on. (Tickets ranked after 30,000 are considered unsuccessful, and the corresponding subscription amount can be manually reclaimed by users after the results are announced).

MintBox includes a Lucky Digit mechanism, where every time a user successfully invites a friend to participate in this event, and they subscribe with at least 100 USDC, the inviter receives 1 Lucky Digit, with a maximum of 3 Lucky Digits per Ticket. Digits upgraded to Lucky Digits do not require matching, any number from 0–9 counts as a hit.

Additionally, Lucky Digits are only issued to the inviter, filled sequentially according to Ticket generation order, with the unlocking order fixed as the 1st, 2nd, 3rd digits, and the 4th digit always reserved for exact matching.
